Heavy Rainfall Expected Through Thursday
What is the danger?

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Watch until noon tomorrow for Harris County. Widespread rainfall will continue through the evening time. Totals of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts are possible.

According to Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), the heaviest rainfall will occur during evening traffic time. Roads will be slick, and ponding and street flooding may occur.

With grounds still wet from last week, these rainfall totals could lead to rises on area creeks, rivers and bayous and flooding of low-lying areas. Structure flooding is not expected.
