Stormy Weather Possible Friday Through Saturday Morning
The
National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting widespread showers and thunderstorms Friday and overnight into early Saturday morning. Our area may get up to an inch and a half of rain, with isolated amounts of two to three inches. The primary threats include locally heavy rainfall, hail and damaging winds. The rain may also affect Friday commute times.
What you should do:
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecast, road conditions and have multiple ways to get warnings.
DRIVE SAFELY- If you must travel, never drive into high water and use extreme caution at underpasses and low-lying areas where water accumulates.
- Always remember to Turn Around, Don’t Drown! DO NOT DRIVE through high water and DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES.
- Just two feet of water can sweep your vehicle away.
