Heavy Rainfall Update
What is the danger?
The National Weather Service (NWS), has canceled the Flash Flood Watch for southeast Texas. Light to moderate rainfall continues to spread across the area. Residents are encouraged to take precaution on roadways as there may still be low lying underpasses that are underwater.
Harris County’s bayous and creeks are continuing to respond to the runoff from heavy rainfall. Several bayous are still out of banks. Residents can find more information at:

What you should do:
DRIVE SAFELY
- If you must travel never drive into high water and use extreme caution at underpasses and low-lying areas where water accumulates.
- Always remember to Turn Around, Don’t Drown! ® DO NOT DRIVE through high water and DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES!
- Just 2 feet of water can sweep your vehicle away.
